Our thick-cut fries are amazing. Instead of being crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, the fries are starchy and a bit rubbery, which could become as a surprise to you. The flavour is like a gently roasted potato, which was tasty in its own way, but different than conventional chips. Considering these are only a dollar or so more than a side of regular chips, I’d suggest starting with burger and if you’re still hungry, picking up our fine and think-cut fries instead.
The biggest casualty of the health food craze has undoubtedly been the humble french fry. Over the past few years, the industry-wide move to canola and sunflower oils has left us with chips that are slightly healthier — but also bland and soggy. From big franchise fries just ain’t what they used to be.
This is where Open Pizza’s Thick-Cut Fries comes in. While they are cooked in the same way as regular chips, the new chips are significantly thicker and crispier than the standard fare and they go down a treat. We recommend that you would try a box on the way home or while dinning inn and you’ll pleasantly be surprised by how good they tasted.
So I finally got around to visit the fairly newish Proper Burgers in West Ealing. After passing by many times, finally decided to take all my young in-laws for a meal and we were up for a treat. We all tried different burgers and were all equally amazing. Also, don’t forget to try out their Specialty Milk shakes!
